Nicolas “Nic” Fortkamp

Appraisal Assistant

What expertise do you bring to RWC?

As a real estate professional, I had the opportunity to work in the fields of residential sales; multi-family, commercial and industrial appraisal; and low income and tax credit housing throughout the Midwest. Being both a licensed agent and a registered appraiser gives me a more well-rounded understanding of the market from multiple points of view. I earned a B.S. in Economics where I graduated Cum Laude with honors which has definitely come in handy for market analysis.

I’m also deeply committed to my community. I was born and raised in Upper Arlington and now I’m currently a Trustee with the Upper Arlington Education Foundation as well as a speaker and facilitator within the community. I’m a member of NetworkUA, former President of both the UA Alumni Council and Leadership Upper Alington, and I helped found and served as a board member of EqualUA, I’m very proud of proposing and creating the City of Upper Arlington’s first City of UA’s first Community Relations Committee. I’m so grateful to work, live, and serve here.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I like to keep busy. My wife and two kids and I love to explore central Ohio and I also coach lacrosse, mentor students, collect comics, read, and watch football.

What do you love about Columbus?

The growth!  This city provides opportunities to experience the city in different ways, whenever you want.
