Max Juszczec

Appraisal Writer

What expertise do you bring to RWC?

At RWC, I research properties and verify data we collect about them before we start the valuation process. I write descriptions of properties in appraisal reports, and I tag along with the appraisers to help out with site visits.

My first experience writing was in the first grade with a chapter book titled Max’s Birthday, which I dictated to my mom while she typed it and had limited release through my elementary school’s library. In terms of writing for a living, my career started in earnest with an internship at a physical therapy clinic writing blog posts and developing a marketing plan for a summer.  After graduating from OSU, I worked in a bunch of different professional writing areas from technical writing and copywriting for big businesses to grant writing and public relations for local nonprofits.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

My wife Natalie and I got married in 2020 and we love meeting new people together. We are always having friends and family over at our house for games and good conversations, and attending and volunteering at our church. I also use my writing skills in my free time: I volunteer as a grant writer for a local charter school, and I occasionally write music reviews. I’m an avid supporter of local music, and I like going to concerts in my free time. (I love how close our office is to the Athenaeum – my favorite venue in Columbus.)

What do you love about Columbus?

I moved here from Akron in 2014, and although I may not originally be from Columbus, this place is the best and I’m here to stay. I love the people in this city: making new friends and getting to know the people who live here is truly my favorite Columbus activity. I have so many lifelong friendships that started in Columbus, and that’s priceless to me. Plus we just bought our first house here, so I’m not leaving anytime soon!
